Financial Sustainability and Publication Costs Policy

The International Journal of Artificial Intelligence, Educational Technologies and Teacher Education – IJAIET is an international, interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, Open Access scientific journal committed to Open Science, ethics, research integrity, internationalization, and excellence in scholarly communication.

Commitment to Open Access and Editorial Sustainability

IJAIET recognizes Open Access as a fundamental principle for the democratization and dissemination of scientific knowledge. Published articles are made freely available to readers, without access barriers, promoting their visibility, circulation, reuse, and academic and social impact, in accordance with the journal's licensing policy.

Maintaining an international Open Access scientific journal, however, involves ongoing costs associated with technological infrastructure, editorial management, peer review, manuscript preparation, internationalization, digital preservation, and dissemination of scientific research.

Therefore, IJAIET adopts a transparent Financial Sustainability Policy designed to ensure the continuity, quality, and development of the activities required for the processing and publication of scientific manuscripts.

Independence Between Scientific Evaluation and Payment

Publication and editorial processing charges do not influence the scientific evaluation process and do not constitute a guarantee of acceptance or publication.

All manuscripts are subject to the journal's editorial procedures and peer-review process. Editorial decisions are based exclusively on criteria such as scientific quality, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, research integrity, compliance with the journal's focus and scope, and contribution to knowledge.

Publication costs apply only in accordance with the journal's current financial policy.

Allocation of Financial Resources

Resources obtained from editorial processing and publication charges contribute to maintaining and developing IJAIET's scientific, editorial, and technological activities, including:

  • management of the scientific and editorial workflow;
  • administration and maintenance of the OJS (Open Journal Systems) platform;
  • language editing and editorial preparation;
  • manuscript standardization and normalization;

No Submission Fee

IJAIET does not charge a fee for manuscript submission or initial scientific evaluation.

The existence of editorial processing and publication costs does not condition manuscript submission or scientific evaluation and does not interfere with the editorial independence of editors and reviewers.

Commitment to Quality and Open Science

IJAIET's financial sustainability is directly associated with its commitment to maintaining an ethical, transparent, technologically robust, internationally oriented scientific journal guided by best practices in scholarly publishing.

This policy seeks to ensure the conditions necessary to maintain Open Access, peer review, editorial and technological infrastructure, digital preservation and dissemination, Open Science practices, research integrity, and responsible scholarly communication.

IJAIET understands that the sustainability of a scientific journal extends beyond its financial viability. It encompasses the continuous ability to ensure editorial quality, scientific independence, transparency, accessibility, preservation, internationalization, and the social impact of published knowledge.
